Fossil & Prairie Center

Since the opening of the Fossil & Prairie Center in 2001, visitors from 48 states and 24 countries have been welcomed to Floyd County. Fossil exhibit

The Center showcases the various features of the Fossil & Prairie Park Preserve and their connections.

The Fossil & Prairie Park Preserve is open from Sunrise to Sunset.

The Fossil & Prairie Center is now OPEN weekends through October from 1-4 p.m. and weekends in May, September and Summer hours (Memorial Day - Labor Day) Daily from 1-4 p.m.

There is no admission fee - donations are accepted.
