Rocky, mascot of the Rockford Brick and Tile Company, will guide you along the trail through the quarry as you fossil hunt and explore the area once home to his company.

Four of the 16 beehive kilns remain on site. Currently a restoration project is underway to preserve these historic structures to help us tell Iowa's agricultural story.

The quarry area was mined for blue shale to use in the production of ag drainage tile and building bricks.
