Rockford Brick & Tile Company
The Rockford Brick and Tile Company was in operation on what is now part of the Fossil and Prairie Park Preserve. They mined for clay to form bricks and drainage tiles in the quarry area.
This exhibit describes the brick and tile process as well as the work involved in installing the drainage tiles.
