Floyd County is located in North-east Iowa and is home to the Fossil & Prairie Park Preserve and Center.
We currently manage 25 individual parks, preserves, natural areas and river accesses that encompass some 1,616 acres. The Winnebago, Shell Rock and Cedar Rivers cascade from across Floyd County and provide numerous water recreation opportunities.

During the Summer 2013 . . . if you are traveling to the Fossil & Prairie Park Preserve be aware that the bridge within the City of Rockford is CLOSED. Please take the Nora Springs exit from Hwy 18, go south on County Roard S-70 (Zinnia Ave) for 4 miles then east (left) on County Road B47 (215th Street).
